Content | Your Faith has Saved You (Mark 5:21-34) God is the Father who dwells in heaven. Since He gave such a great salvation, (Heb 2:3) He gave eternal life to those who believe in God’s name (Acts 4:12). God’s name, ‘Jesus’, is our faith (Jn 20:31), God’s will is our faith (Jn 6:33-40), God’s word is our faith (Heb 11:3), He who is Immanuel is our faith (Mt 1:21-23), and the authority and power which God gave is our faith (Mt 10:1). What is the faith He gave us? We do the works which the Son of God did (Jn 14:12); and we can do even greater works (that were not shown to the world) than these. Therefore, nothing is impossible for those who believe (Mk 9:23). We should use the faith God gave us (Mk 5:34) and be free by it (Jn 8:36). Jesus healed sicknesses by the word (Mt 8:16), drove out demons by the word, laid hands to heal sicknesses (Mk 5:41), and those who touched Jesus’ body were healed (Mk 5:27-28). The kingdom of God is not only in words, but in God’s power (1 Cor 4:20). ○ He put the Holy Spirit in our hearts to reveal God’s work. ○ Jesus’ work was to preach the word, heal sicknesses, and drive out demons simultaneously - the Christian church is reality. ○ Morals and ethics without power is religion. Religion builds up virtue but has no power of eternal life. It has nothing to boast about. ※ Our faith is reality and we can always receive His power in the present and anywhere. Our faith is power. No matter what others say, it is power. |
