Content | The Blessed Person (Psalms 1:1-6) God is the Source of blessings. He created the world and gave His blessings upon it (Gen 1:28-29). Though it is a blessing when everything is abundant and you have many descendants, it is a much greater blessing when your own spirit prospers (Mt 5:3-12). He distinguished those who are blessed. This is holiness. Those who are blessed must be one with the Source of blessings (Jn 17:11). Therefore, they reject worldly temptations - which God hates, they do not stand in the way of the wicked - which God hates, and they avoid the seat of the proud - which God hates. God gave the blessings of heaven as a command, gave this command through the Gospel, and this Gospel showed grace and truth (Jn 1:14). Rather than things you see with your eyes, seek the blessings that your spirit understands (3 John 1:2). Those who have faith are blessed. The Lord Jesus had no place to rest His head on earth, but He received the greatest blessing (Mt 28:18). The Holy Spirit does not possess wealth, but He is a great blessing. 〇 Do not merely yell that you want blessings, but be born-again as a blessed person. 〇 Those who are blessed meditate on God’s word day and night and are blessed by this word. God’s command is a blessing. 〇 Since those who are blessed bear fruit in season, they prosper in all things and store them up in heaven. ※ Do not be like the wicked. They will not endure the judgement, but those who are blessed will receive eternal life. |
