Do Not Be Ashamed of the Gospel
(Mark 8:27-38)
God is endowed with the attributes of
intellect, emotion and will.
He sent the Son to testify to the fact
that He is living
namely, Jesus Christ (Jn 1:18).
Jesus is the Only Begotten from God’s bosom
and the Father and the Son are one (Jn 10:30).
Therefore, to be ashamed of Jesus
is to be ashamed of the Father;
to be ashamed of the Gospel
is to be ashamed of the truth (Ro 1:16- ),
thus, the Word of God (Logos).
Jesus Christ was not ashamed of us sinners.
For this reason, whoever is ashamed of the Gospel,
God also will be ashamed of him;
whoever is ashamed of power,
the Holy Spirit also will be ashamed of him.
○ Let us not be ashamed of the Gospel.
He who is ashamed of the truth curses himself,
that is his soul.
○ Let us not be ashamed of Jesus.
He endured all kinds of reproach for our sakes.
This is life.
○ Let us not be ashamed of
the workings of the Holy Spirit.
Let us not be ashamed of
receiving his gifts but obey.
This is faith.
※ If we are ashamed of God,
God also will be ashamed of us.
